1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Malaysia International Boat Show (MYBOS) website at mybos.my and your participation in the MYBOS event, including the Malaysia Yachting Conference (MYC), organized by MYBOS Event Sdn. Bhd. ("Organizer", "we", "our", or "us").

By accessing our website, registering for the event, or participating as a visitor, exhibitor, sponsor, or media representative, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

2. Definitions

"Event" refers to MYBOS '26, scheduled for April 2-5, 2026
"Venue" refers to the Royal Langkawi Yacht Club and associated facilities
"Exhibitor" refers to any company or individual displaying products/services at the Event
"Visitor" refers to any individual attending the Event
"Sponsor" refers to any entity providing financial or in-kind support
"MYC" refers to the Malaysia Yachting Conference

3. Event Registration

3.1 Visitor Registration

Visitor registration is complimentary and required for entry
Registration is subject to approval by the Organizer
Visitors must be 18 years or older unless accompanied by a registered adult
Valid identification may be required for entry

3.2 Exhibitor Registration

Exhibitor registration requires acceptance of the Exhibitor Agreement
A 50% deposit is required to secure booth space
Full payment must be received by February 28, 2026
Booth allocation is subject to availability and at the Organizer's discretion

3.3 Conference Registration

MYC registration may require separate fees as specified
Conference seats are limited and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis
Registration confirmation is required for entry

4. Payment Terms

All prices are quoted in Malaysian Ringgit (RM) unless otherwise stated
Prices are subject to applicable taxes (SST/GST if applicable)
Payment can be made via bank transfer, cheque, or approved online methods
The Organizer reserves the right to modify pricing with reasonable notice
Invoices are payable within the specified terms

5. Cancellation & Refund Policy

5.1 Exhibitor Cancellation

Cancellation more than 90 days before the Event: 50% refund of deposit
Cancellation 60-90 days before the Event: 25% refund of deposit
Cancellation less than 60 days before the Event: No refund
All cancellations must be submitted in writing

5.2 Event Cancellation by Organizer

If the Event is cancelled by the Organizer due to circumstances beyond reasonable control (force majeure, government restrictions, natural disasters, etc.):

The Organizer will offer rescheduled dates or transfer to a future event
Refunds may be provided at the Organizer's discretion, less administrative costs
The Organizer shall not be liable for any consequential damages

6. Exhibitor Responsibilities

Exhibitors must comply with all venue rules and safety regulations
Build-up and dismantling must occur within designated times only
Displays must not obstruct aisles, exits, or neighboring booths
Exhibitors are responsible for their own insurance coverage
All displayed vessels must have valid marine insurance
Exhibitors must not engage in activities that damage the venue or disrupt other exhibitors
Sub-letting or sharing of booth space requires prior written approval
All promotional materials must comply with Malaysian advertising laws

7. Visitor Conduct

Visitors must wear their badge/pass visibly at all times
Photography and videography for personal use is generally permitted; commercial use requires approval
Visitors must respect exhibitor requests regarding photography of proprietary products
Drone usage is strictly prohibited without prior written permission
The Organizer reserves the right to deny entry or remove any individual for inappropriate behavior
Visitors board displayed vessels at their own risk

8. Intellectual Property

All MYBOS branding, logos, and content are owned by the Organizer
Exhibitors retain ownership of their own intellectual property
The Organizer may photograph/film the Event for promotional purposes
Participants grant the Organizer permission to use their likeness in promotional materials
Exhibitors warrant that their displays do not infringe third-party rights

9. Limitation of Liability

The Organizer shall not be liable for loss, theft, or damage to personal property
The Organizer shall not be liable for any injury except where caused by gross negligence
Exhibitors are responsible for their own goods, equipment, and personnel
Participants waive claims against the Organizer for losses arising from Event participation
The Organizer's total liability shall not exceed the fees paid by the participant

10. Insurance Requirements

Exhibitors must maintain public liability insurance of at least RM 1,000,000
Vessels displayed must have valid marine insurance with proof submitted before the Event
The Organizer maintains event liability insurance but this does not cover exhibitor property
Visitors are advised to have personal travel/accident insurance

11. Health & Safety

All participants must comply with venue safety regulations
Emergency exits and assembly points will be clearly marked
Participants with medical conditions should inform the Organizer
The Organizer reserves the right to implement health screening measures if required
Smoking is prohibited in designated areas

12. Website Terms of Use

Website content is provided for informational purposes only
Users must not attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
Users must not transmit malicious code or spam
We reserve the right to modify or discontinue website features
Links to third-party websites are provided for convenience; we are not responsible for their content

13. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia
Any disputes shall be resolved through negotiation in good faith
Unresolved disputes shall be subject to arbitration in Kuala Lumpur
The English version of these Terms shall prevail in case of translation discrepancies

14. Amendments

The Organizer reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. Material changes will be communicated to registered participants via email.
